The little story behind Source
Source Edinburgh opened in April 2025 with a simple mission: providing spot-on tourist information about Edinburgh and Scotland. And, basically, making the life of our visitors a bit easier.
Behind the project, you’ll find Mathilde and Sarah, two new Scots who combined their experiences in the world of tourism into their new venture. They built a stellar team of passionate advisors, able to help the customers in many different languages.
After years of working in the tourism industry in Edinburgh, these two noticed how hard it was to buy locally-sourced products in the heart of town. For Source, they carefully selected products and souvenirs that are made in Scotland and that do the country justice, so you can bring back something unique and learn about some of the inspiring local makers. Source is bringing a little bit of diversity to the Royal Mile, that’s all!
